Anyone fished eikenhof lately? Want to find out how the fishing is there, has been a while since i was there last. Prob take a trip this weekend and do a bit of bank fishing for a while.

 

Any suggestions on lure selection?

Me and friend were there last Saturday.
We tube right around the dam and while we were on the other side, the wind started pumping, so it was an adventure coming back.

We caught 15 each. Small ones. There are millions of small ones in the dam, so prepair for a bit of fun playing with the kiddies.

You can try the southern side from the clubhouse to the wall. But last Saturday the forrest on the northen side worked. Go through forrestry gate or tube there like we did.

one bait: Baby bass flukes. These babies are hungry.

Anything in bass color works because there is no baitfish in the dam.

Its a good place to take first timers to try a catch a bass!

Was there Sunday. Plenty small fish all round the 300-400gm mark. Makes for a plentiful day. Lost one decent one but thats bout it. Fish count for the day probably round 20-30.

Baby brush hogs, green pumpkin grub, got them on rattling rogue, twitch baits. You really cant go wrong there.
