The original owner died and some new guy is running the place. That was why it was closed for a while. But u heard that you need to join a club to fish there

Okay so i went to the Quary this weekend , and the story goes you phone Ron who's number you get from the locked gate, you must pay him R200 for a key to the gate and you can come and go as you please for 1 month . we were there fr an Hour and didnt caught anything, i spoke to a few of the guy's there who was busy fishing and no-one has caught anything yet, and they havebeen there for a few times, we saw allot of big fish jumping and a lot of little spawned bass . my best guess is a float tube will do very well there because all of the bigg fish jumped from a area of water witch is unreachable by foot.

The best place to fish would be around the middle. From what i heard. They use to mine there and hit water. So the quarry filled with water. They left everything behind. So there are buildings and stuff in the middle of the quarry. We have gone a couple of times as well and have landed some small fish. I have seen some big boys swimming around by the trees on the opposite bank but you need a inflatable or a float tube to get there
