Will definitely be travelling up the coast over the weekend,not quite as far as George though.Hopefully the weather and water behave themselves 
Looks good so far. SW swells means anything inside of a point will have good water for a shore dive. Also the swell drops nicely this weekend.
But there can be too many people on the water now so fish could be skittish. Maybe we should have a new points system.

Dived Infanta on Sunday,water was a murky green 2m vis,and the temp had dropped to 14 deg ! Called it a day early as we weren't too keen to play with the SASC Zambo in the bad vis :ssswim:

I was there and i think it was you that Myself and another Diver, Kevin from the UK spoke to....How was the dive in the end? Manage to get anything?

That was me! I took two friends out but the water was milky! swam back along the beach while the others walked and still didn't see a thing. the only fish that was close to shootable was a galjoen but it was a bit small.
did you see any fish? do you stay in the area? where do you dive mostly?

Yeah i stay in Knysna. I personally didnt see anything decent on sunday, was having trouble equalising but also bumped into a Raggie on the west side of the point and in the Bad Vis wasnt going to stick around.
It was also my first time diving Gerrickes so was a tad nervous...The guy i was with Saw a Bronze Bream, Roman and galjoen..But nothing worth shooting.
I mostly dive in Knysna, At the heads and Coney Glen....when i get a chance though, get on the boat and go to sea and dive out there.

I stay in CT but my folks stay in George so I come through quite often. I'm coming through again next long weekend and I'm keen to do some diving again if yuo want to join?
I'd love to dive Knysna area, I haven't dived there at all. what conditions are good for Knysna?
I do alot of shore dives around CT and every now and then I crack the nod to get on a boat and then we usually head to Struis.
I've been out twice to the Sedgefield banks and that was really good, alot of reef fish! I've done a few shore dives at Gerike's and Herold's and they have both delivered for me.

Let me know what your plans are and we can try make a plan....Knysna isnt good for shore dives, unless you want to walk urself into a Coma!. The best is Coney Glen but You need a really really flat sea to dive there, which can produce Cracker and a few other Rats and Tails, sometimes you'll get the Odd Leervis around there. This time of year the diving down here is really Crappy with the sea being cold and dirty most of the time.
As far as I know, Gerrickes is about the best for Shore dive.....

I also dived/ tried to dive Infanta, got into my suit all soaped up, put on my gloves picked up my gun and looked down for my fins and realized that they were in my garage at Cape town. Thats disapointment .Anyway it seems from Cape Spearo's report and Tonys toothed encounter i didnt miss much .I had my fix earlier in the week shooting longfin in the deep 30m viz with 1-2 reel guns. best fun ever

I'm looking at possibly giving Betty's a go on Saturday as it's my preferred kreef hunting ground. Can I give you a shout early Saturday to find out conditions? If conditions are good and you keen to join me it would be good to finally have a dive with you.
