east london area

hey guys sound like all you fisherman in the kzn area are makin some

good catches lately.

are there any fisherman here from the east london area, i would just

like to know some hints and tips for this area, and some good spots to

try down here

I grew up in EL.....what do you want to fish for?

i fish for any edible fish mostly blue fish,cob and steenbras

as well as shad when they r around

The cintsa, cefani area is good for cob and blue fish. If you really want to catch blues, take a day trip out to birah and fish in front of madagascar reef about 10min walk left of the river mouth. Igoda/Winterstrand is also a good bet for blues in front of the houses and if you walk left towards cove rock you can catch blues off the rocky ledges and cob where the surf starts.

Try in front of the old Glen garriff hotel..nice hole for bigish kob,kwelegha river mouth on the yellowsands side,..deep gutter in the surf..early morning drag a spoon over the sandbank into the gutter...and WHAM! Hang ON!!!
