Thanks for the reply . Sounds like most of the guys say you have to go deep . What success did you have and what depth did you fish at .

I caught 5 fish biggest being just over 5 kilos. Didnt cast that far I would say maybe 50 to 80 meters. Tried boilies when we just got there but by the next day moved over to papgooi and started catching.

Hi BeMAx

Did you go to Eagle Waters and what was it like? I haven't been there for years because of the Algae and Hyacinth.

Thinking of going again on Sunday. Will need to be at the day visitors side of course.

Hi BeMax

I did go on Sunday. The day visitors near the entrance where the soccer pitch and volley ball nets are, was neat and clean. Unfortunately further down where most of the fisherman go, the grass was uncut, with mounds of old dried out reeds and rubbish along the water and the facilities were also very dirty.

I sat about halfway between the entrance and the railway bridge and fished at about 100m. It was the 1st time in 10 years that I blanked. Had about 2 small bites for the day. I did see a keep net in the water nearer to the bridge but the other fisherman alse seemed to be quiet.

If you have better luck please let me know.

I am not really a fan of the day visitors side, I have been there twice and blanked twice... and the pegs are too close together for my liking but on the chalet side I had a much better fishing experiance

Bad luck there ! Hopefully the chalet side can produce better fish . Did you have any problems with hyacinth . I will give a report on what the chalet side produced. Will be there the weekend if you want to sneak into the chalet side as a " visitor " .
