HI All
I have a racing duck that i flipped over.
I un-drowned the motor replaced spark plugs and cleaned all fuel lines, carbs, filter.

All went fine and i have gone thru about 25 Liters of fuel.

The problem is when the motor is idling, it will idle for about 10 seconds then it sounds like it skips a beat and half back fires and almost cuts out, idle again for a little while and skip a beat again and then the motor does die. When i put it in gear it will run for a while then cut out.
Any ideas what could cause this? and how to fix.

Regards

Andre, I have experienced the same over the weekend (same symptoms however not flipped). Got bad fuel (water in fuel). Both motors stared of ok and then all started happening. The carbs on both motors was ?issing water, no matter how many times I choked them with the flat palm method. Should you either still have water in your tank, or carbs this might be the problem, water clogs the main jet.Remove the carbs and clean properly, again if done before. Replace sparkplugs, leaf open in sun for a day before refitting. Add extra 2 stroke oil straight into the piston barrel, not to much however. Crack without starting, repeat once more. Refit the carbs, check if the carb balance on the three are still intact. Restart motor, rev and choke each carb with your hand over the barrel, just before motor dies, let go and resume with the rest. This should sort it out? Sorry for the long explanation
