Dropshotting Mossel Bay\Sedgefield area

Hi

I am going to be in the greater Mossel Bay area from 17 March until 30 March.

Time to put my dropshot\artificial lure angling skills to test.

If anyone wants to join up for a session or so, please let me know.

Any recommended spots in the greater area would also be appreciated?

Regards.

I don't know the mosselbay area well but i can give you some advice regarding Sedgefield.
I'd focus on the lagoon area as there is always lots of action. The train bridge, river mouth and the bend just past the swartvlei campsite are all area's to try for garrick, grunter, kob and the odd shad.
Also try the loin's head(gerrickes point),there are lots of gullies and area's to target black tails.
Hope you enjoy it.

Would throw a spoon or plug in the Klein-brak river mouth. Early morning or late afternoon pushing tide, hopefully the leervis are still around.

Would also try dropshotting in the reebok/tergniet area with a camo worm, some nice gullies and holes where one can catch blacktail, bronze bream, belman etc...

Try Glentana as well and work your way down to Pienaarstrand,we went and my friend caught a nice cobbie on a paddle tail. The formation of the beach currently is very favourable for dropshot and mullets are also plentifull,a lot of nice size cob is currently comming out in the Mosselbay area.Monday while I was in the water casting for mullets two garricks say 50 to 60 cm were patrolling 10 metres from me,I was standing on a sandbank and it was awesome to see how they operates in the clear water inside the hole,I went back a hour later and the were still there just cruising behind each other.
