If I fish on dropshot I will need to go and buy some new bait. I only have Berkley Gulp worms that I think will work in fresh water, what other bait would you recommend?

This jighead rig or berkley lure is referred to as dropshotting
According the the rest of the world it is jigheading.
Anyways i pressume you thought it was having a split shot hung underneath your hook i.e dropshot. it is actually what dropshotting is
If you have anything else you want cleared up about dropshotting you do not understand do not hesitate to ask.

It would be great to try the fly rod.
If you are talking about the FNB email, then it is the right number at the bottom.

Thanks for the info on the dropshotting. I am almost certain that there are many interpretations of what dropshotting is and I suspect that it was because of it being an American term that flew in on some gusty wind before us South Africans had any idea what it entailed (US Style) and so everybody made their own deductions and hence the varied explantions and concepts.
Listen you and Rudolfbeer must enjoy Kungwini 2morrow, ( BTW, is that the resort at Bronkies?) and remember to take pictures and post them when you's get back, Good luck and Tight lines to both of you.

Holding thumbs, REALLY HARD, but if you's don't get any fish, then always remember that it's the fishing and not so much the fish that's Important.

Hi LGF,
Unfortunately I had to cancel. I had to go through to Thabazimbi for the weekend to attend to some matters. The worst was that I actually bought myself some new gear on Friday and I was really keen to go and try it ou. Ag well that’s life, hope I can get to the water this weekend.

Bummer, but like you said that's life, however I've been getting reports from friends that did some fishing this weekend and well, it was only fishing and NO
catching, think the rains:cloud we had last week went and and threw a spanner in the works.....:op::
Sorry that you couldn't break the new gear IN with some fish but now you have something to look forward too for this weekend...
