Dropshot Outfit

Afternoon guys

Have just come from the local tackle dealer and have been advise that the outfit for a beginner on Dropshot would be well suited with the above. I am not to sure about the baitcaster as i have never used one and i am more comfortable with grinder. I am really keen on trying dropshoting for feshwater and saltwater as well. Would like to target the smaller species.
:doh
Some advice pls

hey Jude

i am not a fundi on the dropshot scene and the other guys would be able to help you much more but I think you would battle with the lighter soft baits if you were to use a baitcaster. i would recommend you go for a grinder.

Hey Jude

There has been a lot of talk about drop shotting on this sight.

just do a search on drop shot tackle and you will get plenty of advice on this sight.

i would recommend a coffee grinder instead of a baitcaster for the salt and a baitcaster for the fresh

another vote for the grinder!  When starting out they are far easier to use and are far more flexible.  In the lower price ranges, you will also get better value for money!

The crestfire will only last one trip to the sea, it's build for freshwater and I wont use a baitcaster in the saltwater...

Another vote for a grinder...
