Double-boilie rig

:firstGood presentation !!,IF I fish boilies in the vaal, I would present it like that or cut 2 boilies in half using 3 halfs on the hair.

Where you planning on fishing ?

Yes that's a good one, I also use a similar rig 20mm boilie with 16mm popup, have had good fish on both. They are good especially if smaller fish are bothersome and you are targeting the big girls

I agree, very effective and the rig mechanics are spot on. I dont like changing rigs but this one is a must in my rig box.

Yeh I tried KD rig for a while but just wasn't getting the same hookups, had several hookpulls and a few poor hook locations, but this one nails em bang on every time. Last 2 overnight sessions had 5 runs with 5 fish landed- a 29Ib, a 25, two 20s and a mid double. Well happy with that

An all time favorite of mine. One rod always has this rig on .... most of the time it's taken by a 20+ carp...

The only thing I don't use is the tubing on the shank, usually just tie a granny knot with the hair or just leave it dangling.

Agreed,my all time favourite rig,exactly as in your pic.Was the first rig I tied myself 7 years ago,still use it during every session.Brilliant hooked/landed ratio,I only use it for bottom baits.Blowback rig for snowmans,hinged stiff rig for pop-ups.I've never really needed to try out any other complicated rigs.Simple and effective.

I use the same 3 rigs you do Beeslek. hinged stiff rigs, blowback and the double bait rig. I've gone the route of trying all sorts of rigs but at the end I came back to what works for me.

I tie this rig with a curved shank hook and minus the shrink tube, it has worked very well for me over the years. Super effective and very simple. Alas, I don't get to fish for carp much these days, but if I did I would still be using it.

Here's the rig sitting in the hopper of the bait boat. You can just about make out the hook a bit further up from the boilie and popup.
Deadly.

Very aggressive rig, turns very quickly. Used it when I started out and got my pb on it but feel it's a bit too aggressive now.

I fish double or tripple boilies often on a similar rig. Sometimes it produces bigger fish, sometimes I get small fish on it and bigger fish on a single boilie.

Hi Guys.

The rig at the tip is similar to the Claw rig. It turns super aggressive. I have used it on my recent session at top lake and caught a lovely mirror on it. The only difference is that I used curve shank hook instead of wide gape. I tied a few on long shank for my up coming sessions.
