sorry Ian no clue about costs or wether they will allow your boat, I would also like to know what it costs, bit tired of poaching at the moment.

I have post office one, think that is the one that doordekraal dudes want to see, as thats what my bud showed them and they said it good!

The post office one costs R60 for 1year.

hahaha,

Ja, they asked my bud if he has a permit, he said ja, and showed them the post office one, they said it was good and he continued.

They have asked me a few times (i do have a post office one) but i just say yes, and the dude says "OK, i trust u" :)

Ok would the Post office one work? Coz that is for sea fishing as far as i know... U need a freshwater one, as well as the permit from Durbanville? I'd really like to fish that dam again and want to get the paperwork in order.

Thanks Dude, the fishing specialist one is the same as the Post office one, but they don't sell them anymore. I thought you need a yearly permit for Doordekraal aswell, that you get from durbanville municipality. But if they happy with the post office one , who am I to argue, at least i will have a legal venue for a change.

I normally poach a dam in the vissershok area, just below a quarry, but looking at the huge STRICLY NO FISHING sign, just doesn't make it much fun.

howsit guys...

i went to see the lady in durbanville regarding the dam

theres a different license you'll need to fish the dam.
it cost R100 for the year, the dam closes mid April until October. this license is only to fish that dam.
we spoke about our inflatable boats, she's going to let me know via email about the law regarding them.

Personally, i dont really care that much to pay another R100 to fish there. Im just gana use the permit i have. I think that the gaurds maybe aren't to clear on the EXACT permit needed, so the post office one seems fine.

Just be nice to them, and they will be nice back. It's easy to put on a happy face to make people think u care, and that u have the right slips
