Good day all my fellow Sealine mates.

Can any one confirm whether uncle Johan Louwies still builds T53 custom rods?

If so, I need a contact number and/ or E - mail address.

I await your response.

I have heard that he no longer builds rods, but I may be wrong.

Hi DanieJK

Yup, I too recently and very unfortunately, heard the rumor!

Hopefully the rumor is not true, as I am soooo desperate for a pair of customs!!!

I am still awaiting Enigma's response on the G2's

Thank you for your reply.

Your blanks are here. We're just moving the workshop downstairs as temps have been hitting over 50 degrees Celsius in the workshop resulting to huge drops in my productivity for obvious reasons.

JohanVZ and Danie's rods will hopefully be ready for pickup this Friday

Good afternoon Sir

Recently,in a very unfortunate turn of events,my brother's 11ft JL Custom rod broke. About 45cm from the top.

Do you think there's any chance of the rod being saved?

Sorry for disturbing,I know this is already a very old post.

Regards
Jacques

I doubt it as this is the part of the rod that works the most and hardest in the cast. Measure the inner diameter of the rod where it is broken. this will provide a better idea

Will have a look at the tensile strength of 4mm inserts and see if they can take the pressures (even with another 2 layers inside)
