Thats why 1 still has to have the safety of a short rope/string with a shackel that one clips onto the reel, also if the rod gets pulled forward the reel should hit the 2 front bars. This will only really happpen if the drag is set to much. my2c

next time i wil send my idea s to the people who have intelegence to see sh%t this might work !! thanx to you guys who think its ok apreciate it. And one more thing carefull what u say to guys in boksburg. i can think of some other tings to do with that rod holder . i used the only rod i could find at that time.its a bit thin . im going to test them this weekend let u guys now if they where ok or crap. and then just come up with another briliant idea.

Ahoi daar jakethehake. Die stok waarna Loomis verwys het niks met jou stok op die foto,s uit te waai nie. Ons het Saterdag by silversands gehengel en hy het n ou boodstok met n olimpic koffiemeel aan uit die water getrek na sy hoek en lyn daaraan verstrengel geraak het. Dis waarna hy verwys het in sy pos en was vir my bedoel. Jou foto,s is great en wys die konsep perfek. Ek het net gedink aan baie manne wat bootstokke met lang buts onder die katrol gebruik. As die butt nou dieper in die los ring sit, dink ek net die ring gaan dit vasgryp as jy dit na bo wil uittrek nadat jy n vis vasgeslaan het. Maar soos jy se, jy gaan dit toets die naweek en laat weet hoe dit gegaan het. Met die regte stokke dink ek nogsteeds jy het n wenner daar beet. Ons kyk uit vir jou volgend briljante idee.

i must say they worked fine on the dam maby need some minor adustments but be free to use the concept and would like 2 c what mods come from them! didnt have a nice weekend everyting went wrong im very disapionted in the guys wo instaled my boats electronics and the motors. poped my fishfinder! its dead. luckely it was on the dam and not at sea coz my one motors kill switch cut of the motor every few minutes.

I've still got to get 4 trawling rod holders, maybe i should try make my own aswell before buying them.
