We want to acquire a 6.5m rubber duck mainly for spearfishing.
The idea is to use a retired engineer uncle to rather build it for us. He is a qualified engineer also with an MBA and he does "make stuff". Gates etc.
My thoughts are that it is not even an option if you are not going to use a proven and tested hull design - is it possible to get such?
Also I am skeptical to have a hull out of fiberglass being built by someone that is not experienced in working with fiberglass.
Pontoons and engine obviously will have to be bought.
The plus side is that we will want some custom made stuff on the deck, console right at the front and space or stuff for gear.
