Hi Guys,
Being new to the sport, and considering the startup costs, and the distances I need to travel to get to the ocean, I designed and started building a rig to accommodate two safety bottles, a 45L cooler box, 4 rod holders and and holders for the gaff and the lipgrip tool.
The idea was based on what Kiwi's and the Ozzies do, by only using a cooler box, and attaching rod holders to that, but I still wanted the flexibility of a frame, to attach stuff to.
After getting quotes to build a stainless steel frame to my size and specs, I decided that the costs aren't justified if I only get to go fishing on the big blue 4 to 5 times a year.
After roughly 4 hours, and having spent R 750.00 this is what I ended up with.
