You dont always need a boat to do this sport. There are times that I miss casting out and not having to use the boat. In fact, on my last 3 sessions I prebaited a spot specifically at easy casting range and it was great to land a few 20's without having to employ the boat, lol! I think with a boat you can easily neglect areas at casting range. I'm guilty of that too...

i'll second that, especially the part about tying your own rigs. plus, i don't even own a boat and i reckon i do alright!
