Hi Guys, new to the forum but I have already received an abundance of tips and information from everyone in the past.

We went to the Grys in Gansbaai in March this year and the guys are looking to go back soonest.

My question today is , to those that might know, will there be any fish there this time next month?

we are planning to go end of August again but i`m not to sure if there will be anything to catch as we are only going for two days.

In March we used the normal chokka, mussel , prawn and sardine baits and combination and got a couple of species from steenbras to cobbies and gallies.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated with regards to fishing there this time of the year and/or best baits to be used as well this time of the year (August 2017)

Thanx Guys::tight:

Hi there,

Much like anywhere in the Overberg in August, aim for your winter species. There is a definite possibility of big Steenbras at that time of the year (prawn available in Uilkraal river and if you lucky, some bloodworm off the beach on spring low - preferred baits) and there should be Gallies around. Probably a tad early in the year for Kob unless the water colour happens to be spot on.
My 5 cents!
