Persistence , My Good Man , Sheer Persistence .......

I have Said On This forum before :

"the Only Thing More Dangerous than a Good fisherman , is a PERSISTENT one .."

And i sure as Hell don't qualify as being Good . (try telling Kumz that Though , who seems Insistent on Beating an amateur at the Bash ...!!)

I've always enjoyed the fishing ,but it's the Luck of having More success that fuels the fire .

Ta .

Man Bob ,  I'm hooked .

That thing pulled like a friggin Freight train from the word GO.

And i know what size they can grow to , so I'm only all too aware of what a bigger one has the capacity to do ....yoh .

I think you're about the only person that actually caught that little play on words there...Sharp you are ! lol !

I'm supposed to be living in a spot renowned for Cracker, but lately , from September until now , Not Too many have come out. Everyone is also mystified as to why i would return it to the sea. Ai , if i aint going to eat it , then what's the point. The fight is what I'm after , not the flesh .Feels like you hooking a bloody jet-ski at full tilt when it takes off .

Magic Stuff man , Magic stuff .

Eh Def, that's just about how I fish too !  Everyone else on the side and me wading in there with the sharks rubbing against you to taste if you're an edible with their skin !  No sh1t, they do that, the problem comes when they decide to try a test piece of you.  So maybe those shoes are good for something after all - chasing fish away.  Or is that what's on the inside of the shoes does :-D  So what I'm saying is be carefull, those small black tips can be a pest if they want a piece of you ok.

Note the blue shirt there (does that colour work or what), only I got clever.  It's called a pauncho and keeps you surprisingly dry, and you gotta get the expensive one with the decent clips.  As you can see I'm soaked from the shoulders on down.

Note the lure also.  One of the old salties there said I'll never get a rockod out there with my 'little bass rig'.  Shame, I almost tore the lip offen it.  That 'little' spinning rig packs a lotta punch.  I only got the 2nd biggest rockod here, but it sure as hell came out the fastest :-D

Lures work, you don't go back and forth all the time for bait either.  Once you begin to get a feel for lure fishing you're not going to look back at another piece of bait.  Also a completely different sensation on lures, the fish is more agressive as it is attacking a prey.

Re the blue shirt :-D

It doesn't have any buttons on it. The old witch replaced the buttons with pieces of velcro. It keeps the line from getting cought onto the buttons that isn't there any more.

You also get out of the shirt a lot faster if you have to (like when you spot the mermaid... you know ;-)

Eh, what's wrong with our GP registrations ? So far the locals were glad when we left, we took all their shine.
