January 2012 Report:
Venue 1. Craigie Burn Dam KZN (BETT Last Leg 2011)
fly fishing for Bass and Bluegill
Bass: 6 (300 - 700g ) over a 6 hour period
BlueGill: approx 70 ( 90% mature full size) awesome fight on the fly outfit
Venue 2. St. Lucia KZN (yep did some saltys for a change)
Esturay produce alot of small fish with the occasional sea barbel and a huge crab.
Main beach produce small to average sized moon fish (think thats the name)
Umfolozi river mouth : small shad with average sized grunter and a 60cm sandfish
Cape Vidal : many many moonies on the man beach with the backline guys coming in with some quality Dorado.
