I fished in the bay on Saturday with a couple of fellow members and my 2 kids (8 & 9 yrs) .

fish were extremely scarce with nothing significant landed except a big mullet, a banded galjoen (we think) and a snapper, but Lets just say over half a century of experience and knowledge didn't help us elders as my kids gave all of us a lesson in catching fish and back home the little buggers had the nerve to tell me that they think they are better fishermen than me.

On my next fishing trip I will be leaving the kids at home, as they need to get busy with school work or something.:spite

lol khani you cant beat a childs luck!!! i use to do the same thing to my dad when i was little.

i also fished harbour on saturday, i had a good time until the cops chased me!!! every throw was a pull!!! before the tide could push i was getting the 25-30cm grunter and soon as the first push i got 3 60cm and the cops then came and searched me for drugs,weapons and then chased me.

i got to get my boat sorted out before i "slaan" a cop for treating me like a criminal!!!

Afternoon guys

One question what is wrong wid our **** government?
The top guns are steling millions in broad day light and we the honest who have all in order ( i.e : license , practice catch an d release...) can't even enjoy an outing even if we dnt catch anything still are treated like damn common thieves.
Guys this needs to stop, time come for the cop to catch a crim he wnt be able to even lift his own weight as he is to busy harrasing the innocent.
Lets face it majority of these cops have nothing better to do and the majority of them are Indian. I am not being racist ( i am a charou ), have had many encounters with these good for nothing cops and i feel this should stop. I feel for you guys back home.

Yup yup the consensus about fishing in the harbour as a recreational outing is clearly confused with peddling drugs and harbouring intent to vandalize port property?! This is nothing but bull ,i'm totally convinced tht my middle finger zap has more i.q than the failed campus students(those sorrowful cops) cos all my middle finger takes is a simple thought process to stand erect as opposed to the thought process those cops use to write and issue you a fine amidst countless spelling errors and the time period it takes to write the darn thing! besides was it not announced on Ecr tht fishing was now allowed in the harbour???

Hey guys,

Fishing in the harbour was in reference to boat fishing.

howzit jude

went out to blue lagoon on sunday morning, water was not too good. caught alot of seaweed. packed up and fished at laguna beach about 1km down south from blue lagoon. there was a strong side wash. saw only 2 shad come. had my stainless steeel rod stand washed away. got to check with a connection to organise another one.

fished with the exage mid tip. must say a very nice rod to fish with. pity nothing exciting happened.

took one of my b-inlaws to cheapest fishing tackle on saturday to get him set up.

got him a 1468 as well with a speed master.

did you see hooked's catches with the 1468?

Another fisherman thats great, yup those catches rock! Sorry bout the rod stand, would have taken the 1446 for a startup, but never the less it is a beaut to fish with.
