we were there as well. By us they were'nt biting shy. They were pulling us down hard. two nice belman came out. One of them almost 2kg. I lost a sizer. It almost pulled my rod out of the stand. I think my hook was too small. will be there next weekend again.

you guys were fishing by the rocks to the right of the stairs......yeah , heard it was happening there....we were in 2 minds , to stop closer to the stairs where there seemed to be a good channel , or go that side as it seemed the fish would end up there . By the time we decided to move , there were so many rods down there it looked like the Natal coastline when theres a shad run......interesting that you say they were wild.......by us we felt gentle pulls , and Johnathom got his fish by lifting his rod and setting the hook , rather than striking...

Hi fellow anglers

Does anyone know how the night fishing is at davids kraal? And is it safe to fish there. Or do i need to leave a rottie in the car and pack in a pea-shooter in the tackle box....Planning on going friday night.

Regards

hi reefwalker

as u can see my favourite spot for night fishing is dawids kraal , maybe because i caught my 1st Kob there, lol. I've fished there many times and we normally stand to the right of the little footbridge.... it's a safe place but the only downfall is that u have to park ur bakkie and walk about 100m and it is very dark at night....take the rottie with just in case...
