I went past this venue last Friday when i left work. Saw the entrance but could not turn off as some Alberton tappet was riding on my cars arse. I saw a white corsa bakkie standing there. I must make a plan to hit this water! Maybe tomorow during work... LOL!!!

took adrive past there yesterday to go have a look , couldnt find the entrance off the highway i so went to the nursery side and took the long route, grass is very high and u def need clearance if the grass continues grow , if it rains forget going there with a car.

The water looked nice n clean small cleared off area to launch an inflatable , but def no place for bank angling.

On my way out i found the route going directly onto the highway and thankfully i was with my bakkie cos just below the entrance off of the highway there was standing water and the climb up was a bit steep , wouldnt recommend coming down from the highway side with a car, use the nursery entrance.

If you come into the nursery entrance theres another dirt road to the left take that one drive for abt 30 m and the dirt road splits again , take the left fork n follow it for abt 5 mins , i was driving slowly cos i didnt know what to expect esp with all the rain we had. u can see the clearing to the "launch" site which is 30m from the main dirt road.

I want to fish there but i dont think i'll go there alone ,since i dont know the place . I do have an inflatable which is a 2 man , so if any1 wants to go maybe we can make a plan , if u have a car its fine u can park it at the nursery and we can go with my bakkie.

LH, I'll like to join you sometime with my tube as I also want to check out this pond, but the next two weeks is a bit to hectic for me. I'll pm you as soon as I can get a gap!

scrat that would be awesome , maybe we can get a few other guys together , from what i seen abt 10 tubes could fish there without getting into each others way.

I'm seriously thinking of getting me a tube, whats the prices like for an entry level tube??

We are about 3 guys that usually fish together from tubes. You can get one for R1500 - Explorer mini

Get yourself a tube and fish the comp in 2 weeks time in springs. Its going to be alot of fun and there is alot of prizes and give aways. The first 45 entries get 'n fishing shirt worth R200. This is a good way to meet other floattube fisherman. bCheck out the post about it!
