Sounds pretty awesome to me. Nice looking as well. How much does it cost? I'm also looking for a new reel.

Daiwa are a reliable and competetively priced brand that provide affordable value without sacrificing performance, reliability and styling. The only draw back with these reels is their respective line capacities however, there are brands of mono on the market that boast narrow diameters with high breaking strengths that should enable the angler to overcome this "problem".

If my understanding is correct, if you purchase these reels you get a one year warranty with them? (I stand to be corrected about this).

If you have a warranty then part with your hard earned cash and give them a try. Why not?

Check out the above URL. It gives a fair description of the reel by anglers who have used them.

No mention of warranties but i know that most tackle shops have people who do servicing of reels etc. Daiwa should have no shortage of parts here in SA.

Go for it, reel looks amazing.
