At long last,it looks a better weekend with wind dropping.So we just need to choose where to fish & be in the right spot.So,where are we Angling?

Weekend Tides/Wind Predictions:

High Tide - Sat : 02h31am/14h34pm ; Sun :03h02am/15h06pm

Winds  Sat 4-6 knots,Max 12knots,Blowing SSE Morning,swinging to SW later

            Sun 3-8knots,Max 13knots,alternating NNE/N/WSW/SSW/SSE

If i was a betting man, and i wasnt going for the mostest awesomest kabeljou, elf and stompneus with a smooth hound on the side fishing trip on saturday to langebaan,

I would go for... Arendse Road, Wolfgat, and my personal favourite, the spot we were on the day of the Kob Derby when you came down there Walt.... Just to the right of there.

And where about is this spot. lol    Just want to get to the water and fish.

I don't know all the right names. You go down onto the beach towards macassar and drive towards i think it's called blokhuis. About 200 yards past a little pole that is ancored in the sand there is a reef to your left, and a lovely bay to ur right. The only decent fish of the kob derby came out there that day.

Yes...yes...yes....w/end is looking excellent!!! Going out Saturday from 12h00 till late. Will be fishing for bronzies and kob. Will probally fish between Macassar draad and Arendse. Look out for a white Nissan 1400 bakkie or camo safari, you'll know it's us searching for those big fish lurking the deep blue sea!!!

Bait setup for Saturday: octopus, chokka, maasbankers, anchovies, mackerel and bonnies...vas pappa!!!

saturday the fishing will be awesome but i'm so jammed the only time i have available is Friday night. so i'll be off to melkbaai for the second half of the night, anyone who wants to join is welcome to pull in. last summer when the wind swung slightly the big flat fish were there to be found. even had a bronzie or two. all i need is a live shad and on dad!

Hi Guys !! I couldn't wait till the weekend, so we went last night (Wednesday night), my buddy's first cast landed a cobbie of bout 2kg on Chokka, not long after that another one was landed of similar weight and after that ... the papa came out a beaut of ±14 Kg !! in total 11 size cob came out between 6 guys. I just hope the weather isn't too perfect over the weekend, cause that's when the fish go on vacation !! LOL ! Sorry I couldn't supply any pics, everybody had their "old" phones with them...:wfish

I heard the water was fairly cold at Cape Point yesterday afternoon ....around 12 degrees...hope the wind last night and the breeze this morning brings in some warmer water...what is the water temp inside the bay?
