This is one way to be pestered by those 1-2.5 kg cats all day long...big cats grow big because they are "streetwise" lol.
GC I can see that you are itching to get into a 15 plus kg fish, I also went through a stage when I first started going for big cats of trying a thousand different schemes to try get fish.
A tip that I wished I used earlier is Keep It Simple
-Big Bait=Big Fish
-Big tackle- min 8/0 hooks,50 lb braid(dep on struct),I prefer circles hooks
-Keep it quiet , avoid noise , lights etc
-Find structure,if not start one rod deep ,another one close - work from there
-Have a few different baits , I usually start with a "day old bomb" of 3 or 4 day olds on a 10/0, catch the 1st carp and then send out the head, and a thick fillet on rod 3.
Hopefully I can make it to a team catfish social next year , looking forward to meeting and learning more from the guys.
Lastly Im also going to step on a few toes but I cant find any joy in carp fishing ...for me its just a neccesary evil to catch bait lol
