Couple of recent Shark captures at Exmouth Westerna Australia.

Heres a couple I picked up on a recent trip to Exmouth. 1st I believe is a Bull Shark, the 2nd is a Grey Nurse. Both were taken on a Kinfisher Posieden 5/Saltist 50 running 50 pound. Both were hooked within 20 minutes of baits hitting the water, sharks are thick up there and genearally regarded as a pest. The fish is an Estuary Cod taken as bycatch while slidebaiting for sharks.

Should just add, Grey Nurse/Raggie=same shark.

I've always known that to be true, but whatever shark you caught, its not the same as our South African raggy. Tail and second dorsal and anal fins are all wrong, plus it has a short snout compared to a bag

anyways those are some great catches congrats :wfish

Your right Aquadementia, now you mention it the 2nd dorsal and anal fins are definately the wrong shape. I was in a bit of a rush to get it back in the water and made my ID on the teeth, which were like raggie teeth. Might have to have a hunt around the ID books :)

Thanks for your help guys, after looking at some ID pics the Anal and 2nd dorsal fins definately look like a Lemon Sharks, and it was caught within the Lemon Sharks range.

The reef is on the most NW tip of the Australian continent, very sharky waters, and also one of our prime Landbased Giant Trevally spots.

I think Whaler is spot on. My initial reaction was also towards a lemon shark. Don't know if they are resident to that area, though... Nice catches, by the way!!!

Edit: Late response :)
