Hi Guys

Its so damn quiet on this forum!

Who's planning a tekkie bek session in the next month or two?

I'm counting the days! Just when I see the weather is clearing up during the week, come weekend and its cold again!

So let's get the blood flowing I need some fish talk!

I need to build myself a rod stand for the ugly stiks here is the problem, where we fish you need a rod pod but my multiplier reels and a pod well it does not work so I want to build something that stands at 45 degrees and does not work like bank sticks.

Any suggestions?

I know how you feel.
I already have 2 trips planned to Bloemhof.
First will be de hoek for a weekend
Then it will be sandveld for a week
And I am sure a couple of sessions will be next to koppies as well.
All I need is some hot weather to wake them up.

The lower Orange for a week in November , probably start putting out baits when Im back at the vaal river in 2 weeks as a feeler

What do you guys use to hold your multiplier setups?

I just put mine on my rod pod.
Else I use a single bank stick.

Then the rod is upside down, I want something that can hold my rods at 45 degrees and the reel on top

You could try using a sand spike like the ones used when fishing from the beach ,I used to have one but cant find it anymore and haven't had the urge to replace it yet .

Something like this

thats what I used to use but now the problem is where we normally fish you cant get anything into the ground spikes dont work there.

thats why im puzzled and rather build myself something

for a coffee grinder this works fine.

im working on something real simple and cheap for the upcoming trip to kraaipoort will post it as soon can

I know how you guys feel. In the past couple of weeks I have packed and then re-packed my tackle box a couple of times... Cleaned the rods more then once, checked the reels and tied numerous traces...

September is almost here, just hope that the weather will then play along.

Tied a couple of MarvelousMark's hair-rigs onto 10/0 circles, they are going to do an awesome job at the Vaal!
