Construction of Leaders

Hi Guys

Pretty new 2 this site, but a very informative site.

Need some assistance in puttin a leader 2gether. How do u go about joinin the main line to the leader, i know that a bimini twist should b used but this seems very difficult 2 do.

Is there any easier way to do this without the bimini twist?

Thanks 4 the info. but this bimini is much more difficult to construct than it seems. I guess i will only get the hang of it with much more practicing

go talk to some local anglers when you have time and steal with your eyes!! if you want you aould ask them about there bait presentation etc. and how they tie there knots like the bimini (in the biginning i also struggled cause i whas doing it like the book said, but when someone showed me, i could do it properly!)

always insist on tying the bimini when joining mainline and leader line no matter how long it takes and what other INEXPERIENCED anglers tell you !!!

I've used a knot called the "slim beauty" that ties very fast and it goes through the rod's eyes easily.

I have not used this with very thick leaders though, and it also lacks the flexibility of the bimini.

I know the reefer is gonna get me for this but, it's cool, I can run very very fast.....

Bud I also struggled with that bemini thingy spider hitching it to a yucatan over a drink of bloodknot with a friend called snellknot......

Try the double Uni-knot, it doesn't swallow as difficult as the rest and it's a double so you only need a few .....
