No problems! Thanks Bennie. As you can see I'm a complete newbie to fishing, so I'm trying to learn as much as possible from everywhere.
OK - cool! I'm going to make something lekker. Folloing the lines of the wide range, which has flat face but taper down to it. BUT, I think I'm going to down size it a little.Your right, a longer flatter faced lure will work nicely, something in the lines of a tube or a "widerange" type head, they create a bit of air and run true, you dont want anything to eratic, incase you want to put a bait behind it.
Made 1 a day and will test these 3 before making more.
But I'm sure they will work fine!

Hi,Where do you get the material to make the skirts or do you just buy them?
Not really worth it "DIY". You need dollies, dipping tank, spray templates. Each one would need to be dipped a few times etc.I can imagine it's pretty similar to a yamashita, which the guys do use alot. I' still quite nooby to boat fishing, but what I have observed from the few times I've been out past cape point, is that rapalas, snake spinners and surface plugs (in that order get nailed), I've only seen one or two small tail take the yamashita on a bungee.
Question for Bennie: Have you ever tried making the skirts for these or making your own yamashitas? Is it possible to DIY that sort of rubber/silicone? or is it more effort than it's worth?
Actually the Purple one has caught a hell of a lot of fish! Mainly Tuna and Dorado.Cona`s look stunning Bennie
I am eager to hear your report after testing.
Way too slow right now but we are moving into winter so will definitely get back on track with that!Bennie I'm constantly amazed by some of the stuff you put together. Hopefully you get a nice marlin on one of these soon! Speaking of bill fish, how is the hunt for that Broadbill coming??
