It will be my first time fishing a Union-organised compo next month and I'll admit, I've got some serious jitters already. Trying to get things organised from now (especially my mindset) so I'll be well prepared at the water. Thankfully I am pegged with an experienced angler so I'll have someone to learn from.
Traces: I'm making 20 rietvlei and 10 Boer traces. Good enough?
For barbel, would I have to make separate traces with bigger hooks? (I use 0.8 on all my traces)
Leader: Should I use a stepped leader and will 20lb be better than 15? cuurently using 25lb on 8lb main line and its kak to cast with so that needs to change.
*Random: Which bait company manufactures stinkvoete dip? Haven't seen it on shelves before.
