I call it "coffee met 'n spyker in".... Gets the blood pumping and the joints greased for the expedition to come. LOL

Anyway, great day for fishing but just a pity nobody bothered to tell the fish about it. The water at Dawidskraal was very stained by the water of the nearby stream and was exceedingly cold. The water in my bucket, even after standing for about an hour after filling it, was freezing. Felt colder than my home turf's sea at Melkbos.... and that water is cold!!! Maybe that was the reason we couldn't catch anything decent on the day. But the subsequent "kuier" made up for it!!!!!::S::S::S::S

Ok this is it.... MY 1000 post on sealine ..so lets make it memorable lol.....

Myself and Gustav have been fishing a few meters away from our "post" of bait and tackle boxes..He had tried some Sard and chokka combo in search for a Cobbie. Meanwhile Pieter V were smashing the Gallies left right and center.I suggested to Gustav to try from my red bait. The same "vrottes" that Marthin and Strepie had collected earlier the morning. On his reurn he was red faced with some small vomiting expressions on his face.I asked him what happened ? (with a subdued laughter inside)"Ek vang nooit weer met daai goed vis nie ". referring to my bucket of "vrottes: :puke:?:puke:?:puke

What a lovely day. The weather was good but the water was really cold. "Tom se klip" was the place to be and very kind to me and I want to thank everybody that participated in the comp. for the day. You guys rock. I have not enjoyed myself so much in a long time. This is the best social club in the Cape and I am honored to be a part of it. Thanks again for your friendship and a lovely day.

Ja nee kyk daai "vrottes" was nie vir sissies nie!

Dit was nie net die vrottes wat dit gedoen het nie maar die kombinasie van n float en die vrot rooi aas. Julle hat almal vrottes gehad maar nie floats nie
