if you don't need to open it up, just tighten the drag and rinse under fresh water tap, shake it dry and release drag again, turn spindle handle a couple of time to allow drag washer to relax. leave out to dry properly and bob's you ungle.
always, when your drag is tight then you washer are being compressed, release your drag when not in use otherwise your drag washer will become useless and will have to be replaced.
