The winning boat, Dohzari steaming in to make the 16:00 cut off after running out of fuel about 3kms off the harbour mouth (time on camera - 15:49) -  still about 2kms to go.

......but then gets an urgent call from up ahead.......

......Dohzari has run out of fuel again.....just inside the harbour mouth.......Pulsator helps out.....(Time on camera - 3:52)

Dohzari ends up making the 16:00 cut off with seconds to spare!!!..........and wins the comp for the third year in a row!!! She is also the smallest boat in the comp! (Cobra Cat 700)

Howzit bennie,  I am not sure, but I don't think he anticipated having to run against the clock at full taps from about 20 miles north.

I am sure after this instance he will make sure he has enough juice, he got lucky this time. Thats the thing with marlin, you never know exactly how long or how far you may end up fighting them, learnt that lesson a while ago, always got plenty of gas nowa days!!
