Chiselnose plug

Ok, I have been inspired by some of the topics in this section over the past couple of weeks and decided to give it a try. I started off with a simple chisel nose plug. This lure is still incomplete as I need to find time to get to an Afrox store to get my hands on stainless steel wires for the through wire on the lure.

Painting complete with a 2 clear coats of lacquer. All inexpensive items used as this was my first lure.

Thank you to all the posts in this subsection, I think I have found a hobby again after losing interest in saltwater fly-tying (my fly boxes are full!), this one might just be a bit more expensive!

nice lure . make alot of them then out of wood - you swop over to new ones once the paint gets abit chewed that way they dont get waterlogged, the used ones you hang out to dry again . else heat the wood in a microwave oven for 2 min then soak in a diluted resin to get good penetration to seal then paint .
