Just reading the articles about the Barbel - my liewe !@#$%^.
About a year ago Stywe Lyne magazine ran an article about the mad Yanks that catch those freak fish by hand, no shit. They call it 'noodling'. Apparently they walk into the water barefoot and pull a move similar to our white mussel jig. When they feel the monster they grab hold of the thing and wrestle it out of the water!!!
There's only one documented record of a fatality, the idiot drowned.
