ChaIn on brake neck trailer

Can anybody give me advise on how to fit a chain on my breakneck trailer. It is difficult to winch when the beach is steep as the winch is then higher than head hight
Any comments would be appreciated

My winch is on the bottom section of the break neck trailer we normally pull the boat onto the trailer with a block and tackle and then use the hand winch for the last couple of centimetres once the boat trailor is hooked to the bakkie otherwise the boat is a bit heavy.

Thanks Kawa Kawa yes I have seen that work and makes sense. I am busy sorting out something so that after a long day fighting sea and fish it will be easier. Some guys fit electric winches to pull the jetski up but that seems a bit of an overkill. I am thinking that a chain short enough to stop the trailer breaking too far might help?

Wrap the chain around the trailer where it breaks and adust to your required length with a small D shackle. Your trailer will also not drag in the sand so much.

exactly!!!
the chain is there to prevent the trailer from digging into the sand when you are recovering the boat. "pushing the trailer underneath into the boat.
