i recently moved into a complex in century city and saw a few fish swimming around is anyone able to tell me whether fishing is allowed and what kind of fish one can expect to find in these canals

Lucky bugger!

Mostly Carp, tilipia,barbel and maybe,just maybe bass.Im not sure if fishing is allowed but you live there so if i were you i would do it until told otherwise and its not like you are going to eat the fish anyways.


off topic - Was @ Sandvlei yesterday taking my lures for a dip and i saw a big carp of about 6 kgs crusing in about 20cm of water...didnt have bread or mielies

i work in a office park on the canal, and there are lots and lots of fish havent seen anyone catch though...

 

Its a reserve so i doubt you will be able to catch...
