Casting Techniques !!!

Hi guys when fishing at beespens I always see this little old guy fishing there and his casting action differs from the other anglers.He lifts his rod shoulder height then lets his bait and sinker drop and casts on the drop.Does this kinda casting have a name and how many of you guys have their own little secrets.Please guys all of you do cast so please give your input.. Lol.. all the help and advice needed. Tight lines...

Hi Nuki,
Do a search on www.youtube.com for 'John holden  surf casting' or just  'surf casting', you should learn a lot.

I think that little old guy might be Uncle Charlie or as we call him "Chunkie Charlie" ... Nuki, you should ask him about his action, he does cast VERY far ...
