Casting clinics...pretty please!

On the back of Mickey's request for help on casting in the Cape, can we please have a 'casting clinic' in Jhb as well?

I'd really appreciate if someone would be willing to teach us how to get the best distance. I know my husband is also very keen to learn.

Even if we have to pay.

Sal kyk of ek ook vir John Crabb n protea hengelaar daar kan kry as hy nie oorsee is vir sy werk nie. Ek self gaan volgende maand in Pta-Jhb wees en sal reel dat ek hom ook sal help.

Well why don't you guys join us at the Gauteng Social on 11th August, and then we might get something going? At that social, we have several very good anglers, who are I'm sure prepared to part with a few pearls of wisdom. You can bring your gear along and practice too!

Mal, Yes I agree, Mark Lewis is a great coach... but lets just first get the Social over... there will be too many people meeting for the first time to have a clinic. We need to make the Casting clinic a much more formal type thing...

If you want to get the ball rolling... sure give him a call and see when he would be available in September... just remember that the Sealine Birthday bash is on September at Tugela River Mouth Resort. Tell him I said hi!

I need to confirm the date of the Birthday event though....????

Expat, are you gonna be in JHB on the 11th August? If so, then you are COMMITTED to join us at the Gauteng Social. It will be wonderful for you to see the old dam at the prison again anyway bru!! LOL

Mansoor, sorry bru... got the dates wrong there about the Sealine Birthday bash. Went to check on the calendar and I see it no longer exists!? Maybe Emp has cancelled it? I will have to check with him....

Well, now that the Gauteng social was moved and I am unable to make the new date, I guess it's back to the request for the Casting clinic. Are we still gonna have one?

I think we need still to have a casting clinic as well and get a couple of guys in to show us how - I could do with a few pointers

I will DEFINITELY organize a casting clinic, soon. It will probably be in early September... depends on the coaches.. will advise as soon as we know.
