CASTING- BEACH FISHING

Hey guys, i live in cape town and am planning on starting beach fishing, any tips on casting, how to cast or where to cast?

Get a nice big rod and try your hardest to get over the breakers. No fish in the breakers dude, that is my problem i dont have a big enough rod to get that far out. I cant get over the breakers to the calmer water so now im fishing off the rocks.
