so myself and 3 buddies have been down to zeekoevlei about 5 times in 3weeks and have caught nothing.

so i have a few questions and yes i have used the search function first.

does the time of day affect catching fish? are we starting too late? we usually get there at about 9am.

a couple of years back i used zeekoevlei as a place to get poeple interested in fishing with u run on every cast and many girls and boys can attain to this.but now we cant get to land one.

in general we looking for a place to go for the day to have some light rod fun.or a tip to make zeekoevlei more enjoyable.

is it necessary to wade in?we never did before.

or should we just try else where?

looking forward to any responses before our next outing sunday.we dont give up:fbash

Try doing a search on the site... I know a while back there was a nice discussion on this place.

The last I heard from the Cape Town guys was that the foreigners has wreaked havoc in that dam by netting/killing of fish and selling it in the nearby settlements. Also heard of sewerage running into the dam.

Will try and find out whats the latest on the place.

Gaan diep!!! So ja jy sal moet in wade.
