I am totaly disgusted , the Carp poachers had Carp on sale at Parow station
The one bak had about 6 Carp between 8 and 10 Kg in and the other must have had about 200 to 300 baby Carp of about 15 cm. This is a regular thing , they are there
every day. At the rate that these guys are removing Carp there won`t be anthing
left in the Cape.

It might be legal! (Pity about the large ones though) A couple of water bodies in the Cape are having invasive specie numbers reduced in an effort to re-establish bio systems... This is a good thing! A lot of waters can simply no longer cope with current stock levels. One small thing happens and the entire system can crash and kill everything in it... Funds generated from invasive fish sales are used to create employment or/and casual staff are used to manually clean up estuaries and other environmental issues in the area... If it's done legally, this means the studies and test have been done and approved. If it's illegal, I suggest you find out where the fish came from and report it/them...

Then the authorities must be asked to approach them
Best way to shut them down will be health department as I doubt they are being kept refrigerated... Problem is they will just move to another site... The other problem you may have is the law does not cater for alien species, size, number etc.... Guys defense could simply be; aybo, I catch this with my own pole by the river! Case closed... Verbal warning for trading without a license...
