So here I am all bored out of my mind if only for a moment - before the phone goes all off on me & clients want answers I thought I'd write a piece. Carp Fishing - My own carp fishing came to mind when making new rigs, splicing Lead Core etc..I wondered where am I in my "Carp Career?" well I've been (like some of U) "around" - big lakes, big carp and big storms. I've read many of these "posts" on Sealine - so many well documented opinions - what works for one not necessarily works for another. I read of beginners, pods, alarms..I've read of Rushmere, Donaldson lakes closing, sad indeed. I've even posted my own treads and commented on others.
Yet carp fishing remains the same: No sooner have I cast out my "home made boilie mixed with some flavor" then another product hits the market promising "huge carp" and multiple captures - the same applies to my Bass fishing - I can't keep up with the number of worm brands - heck man slow down this "commercialisation" & give us anglers a break to "catch a fish on something that works" - I love carp fishing - the break it gives me from my busy life & its problems. Trying out new rigs and groundbaits - rod's all set-up and the waiting game begins. Then my phone rings and I jump - just realised its my Fox Ring tone I loaded recently - it's the wife. HI honey - U ok? - be safe - enjoy...luv & kisses. If only all women were like that - in an ideal world fella's. Essentially what makes U want to go carp fishing? Have you asked that question? Have you watched sun rises and sun sets ? have you "absorbed" that early morning air and frost?
Then the alarm sounds..........fish on !! :sf:::
Bye for now !!
