carp angling at the vaal

[Tyrin]

hay guys i have not posted in a while

im going to the vaal this weekend for an angling comp so do any of u guys know what to use as bait

[Naruto]

I would suggest plain dough with garlic/almond on the bomb. Otherwise anything sweet like Vaaldam or Pinksweets. Add something stinky like tcp or duiwelsdrek if the fish are not taking the dweet stuff. Check the guys next to you to see where(distance) they are getting the fish.

pink sweets

cinnamon

rasberry worked well for me at the vaal

Try a vicks and looti combo on the ball with some onion dough on the bottom hook and a pinksweets floati on the top wit some SWD backing.

Also try gumtree and Little boy (pineapple mix) on the bom with a banana floatie on top hook and plain floatie on the bottom hook.

Those are my 2 favorite combos on the vall but be sure to use a little bit if the vicks and gumtree in the begining.

Hope it helps bud.
