Cape Vidal

Hello Guys,

Being new to this forum, I see that there is no real mention of the North Coast fishing.

I have heard that Cape Vidal is good fishing, is this true? Is there any particular area you can recommend?

Thanks, I am off to read some more interesting articles.

Hi Cupidstunt

Firstly welcome to the forum. Yes Cape Vidal does fish well. But like any other place it all depends on the day. As far as a recent report goes the boating guys have been getting some nice fish. As for the shore angling side edibles are everywhere.

I will try and get more info for you

Thanks Nivi4Zn,

I am looking at going surf fishing, not on a ski boat.

I bought a rod and reel on the weekend and going to get back into fishing again but had absolutely no luck. I remember as a child, going to St. Lucia was great fun. It is a pity that the mouth has now closed, I would love to be able to take my son their now.

Cape Vidal was just something that came to mind because we used to go up there when not on the boat in the estuary.

Regards,

Hi Cupidstunt

I am also new to the forum, but have fished Cape Vidal every year from when i can remember. If you want to catch realy big predator fish then Vidal are the place to go.

The only drawback are that it is a place that change a lot, and with us that have to walk, it is just to far to get to the realy nice spots.

If you want more information drop me an email at PLBDJM@puk.ac.za
