Come on Cape Town!Let's show Sealine & rest of country what Cape Town anglers are capable of in a Comp.Expecting a large number of raised CT hands to show Sealine that we know how to stand together,how to angle, as well as definitely know how to celebrate.So,let's turn out in numbers and make a statement
Seriously think, as CT members we should also be commemorating Sealine's Birthday Bash and give the Vaalies and KZN fellow anglers some competition,fishing from down here in the Mother city.Have got stamp of approval from Emperor and Reefman with regard to Comp.Marthin had initially suggested the Comp when I approached him about a Sealine get together and is going to be angling in his new sexy Sealine gear.I've got mine already!Thanx Emperor,Reefman!Dates for comp coincide with weekend of upcountry Birthday Bash and can be either Sat 11th Oct or Sun 12th Oct.Or even over both days to see who can bag the biggest or most fish over 2 consecutive days.
To make this Comp a success we'll need assistance with the following:
1)We'll need a SPONSOR in order to award PRIZES as well as covering any unforseen costs.Sponsors can have the option of getting mileage via a FREE BANNER on SEALINE for one Month.Thanx Reefman!
2)We need an Officiater au fait with measuring/weigh-ins of different species/categories such as for edible/non edible Prizes.We'll need someone in the know and has had experience with ESA or club angling and can decide on who is a winner in order to authenticate this Comp.We'll obviously also need to borrow a suitable scale for the Comp if anyone has one we can put to use;
3)We need Ideas on Angling Venues,where to weigh-in,etc;
4)We need PHOTOGRAPHERS to prove to Sealine that Cape Town anglers can compete with our upcountry fishing members;
5)We need info and innovations to make this Comp a huge success and perhaps set a precedent for future Comps.;
Any info,suggestions,etc,will be greatly appreciated and may prove instrumental in getting this Comp off the ground.
Lastly,let's show Sealine and rest of country that Cape Town anglers are genuine hard core anglers and not in the Internet Type Angler mould.Let's take up this challenge as Cape Town anglers and offer a huge showing and see if we can outnumber our upcountry Birthday Bashers.
