Hi Ledge,

Heish! would love to join you but unfortunately the winter has dealt me a heavy flu... so I'm sitting on the side for the time being :(

Have a great dive if you make it out!

Ps: What's the story with that monster YF you have in your avatar?

Dude! I'm sorry to hear it. Let me know when you're up and at it again! We WILL make a plan!

Regarding the pic, I have been very blessed to be able to go out to the deep lately. Not spearing, but with the rod. My first YFT was 15kg, 2nd was 45kg, 3rd was about 55kg, the last one was 75kg...

It almost broke me... 1.5 hours on quite heavy tackle...

Flipping awesome.

Hopefully I'll be able to shake this bug before the following weekend... heading up to Arnies for a long weekend and just frothing to get in the water...

SHEESH!! 1 and 1/2 hours!! That's a battle of note!
75kg is indeed a monster and 4 decent YF's in one day is fantastic.

Congrats man!!

Anyhow, hope you have a good dive tomorrow and let us know how it went.

Cheers

Hey guys,

So Pr0t0c0l and I met at the point at dawn this morning. Cape of good hope was relatively calm, but Viz was +- 2-3m. There were quite a few Galjoen around and a few Blacktail, but they were super skittish. We worked mainly in the shallows. The fish were moving around in the thicker kelp this time. Nice size shoals. Not very many good size fish though. I had a few 50/50 opportunities, but your gun had to be placed between the right kelp stalks at the right time. Quite frustrating... I need a short gun! No fish were shot, but it was a good dive all the same.

Pr0t0, It was a pleasure diving with you mate.

Cheers,
L
