Cape Henderson Nature Reserve

Hi Guys,

Just a silly question, the nature reserve just south of Haga(towards EL), is it an MPA? or can I fish it?

I think it should be fishable, Just never heard of anyone fishing there which is why I am asking? Just a schlep to get there?

Cape Henderson forms part of the East London Coast Nature Reserve which falls under Eastern Cape Parks Board (see further http://www.ecparks.co.za/parks-reserves/east-london-coast/index.html).

You are permitted to fish within Cape Henderson but only from the shoreline/coast.  The usual bag limits apply and thankfully Parks officials patrol this sensitive coastal area.

The Marine Living Resources Act does not allow offshore fishing along a band between Kei River and Nyara River (i.e. Cape Henderson is included).
