Camping in St Lucia

We are planning a trip down to St Lucia end of April and plan to camp at Sugarloaf campsite. Never been there before and we would appreciate some input on the venue, or alternative spots where we can stay for a couple of days?

Its a much shorter crawl back from the Skiboat club if you stay at sugerloaf

My first choice would also be Vidal if you can get a booking.

Thanks guys, appreciate the input! Vidal is unfortunately fully booked for the weekend. Would have been our first choice. We will however take a drive out there...

Any input regarding good fishing spots and what to go for this time of the year? Any specific baits that would be highly recommended?

There are a few spots you can try-
 Left of the main swimming beach
View point or to the mouth side
And for the bait - Put in a menu and see what's their choice

Spent 4 days there 2 weeks ago.
1. 3 of the 4 mornings filled my quota with decent sized shad, fished right in front of the day visitors braai area, which is midway between the main beach and caravan dune path accesses - bait: Japanese mackerel.

2. Landed 1 diamond ray the second afternoon measuring 93cm tip to tip on shad head/belly combo.

Please note, there is a sandbank running parallel to the main beach towards Sodwana, which causes a rip that not even an 8 ounce sinker would settle. Also, sardines in very limited supply in St Lucia!!!!
