Calibre boat

Hi guys, I can get this boat from an elderly guy who don’t use it anymore. There is some rust on the trailer where welding was done and the boat is not a new boat, it’s a Calibre with and old 60 Yamaha.
He wants R30 000 for it but I think I will offer him R25 000 to do some cosmetics and a service.
What does the boat people say yes or no.I'm going to sell my open river boat cat hull with 40 Yamaha

I recently got myself a Moonraker. I got it to serve a particular function... That is weekends at further away dams where I could have my accommodation wrapped up at the same time. Cabin boats are not my idea of a good fishing platform though. I'm an artificial angler ;)... I don't troll and I don't throw bait out, so the open deck is a much better option for me, but I like the idea of going on adventures. And that includes tying up to a tree in the middle of a large body of water and watching the sun go down, then come up a bit later on the other side.

If I fish my local dams, I take my little bandit.

The Calibre seems to be a reasonable boat, but like all the older cabin boat offerings out there, should be subjected to a good survey. They tended to have a lot of wood in them and that often results in them becoming "project boats". No shortage of "project boats" in the classifieds... And for a good reason. They present one with a lot of work and limited scope to ever realise the value on re-sale.

My 5c for a Sunday morning

Limpopoking thanks for your input,I decided I'm not the project type of guy I will rather pay more for something in tiptop condition.
The only reason I want to go for a cabin boat is the wind.
